Dr. Yaw-ling Lin is the distinguished professor of Department of Computer Science and Information Engineering at Providence University, Taichung, Taiwan. He was the Dean of Office of Research and Development of Providence from 2013 to 2017. He also served as the dean of office of academic affairs of Providence from 2011 to 2012. He served as the Dean of College of Computing and Informatics of Providence University from 2003 to 2009. His current research interests include machine learning, cloud computing, bioinformatics, computational geometry, graph algorithms, and algorithm design and analysis in general.
Dr. Lin was born on December 25, 1961 at Chang-Hua, Taiwan, ROC. He received the B.S. and M.S. degrees in Dept. Computer Science and Information Engineering from National Taiwan University in 1984 and 1986, respectively, and the Ph.D. degree in computer science from State University of New York at Stony Brook, USA, in 1993.

Vijayan Asari is a Professor in Electrical and Computer Engineering and Ohio Research Scholars Endowed Chair in Wide Area Surveillance at the University of Dayton, Dayton, Ohio, USA. He is the director of the Center of Excellence for Computer Vision and Wide Area Surveillance Research (Vision Lab) at UD. Dr. Asari received his BS in electronics and communication engineering from the University of Kerala (College of Engineering, Trivandrum), India in 1978, M Tech and PhD degrees in Electrical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Madras in 1984 and 1994 respectively. Prior to joining UD in February 2010, Dr Asari worked as Professor in Electrical and Computer Engineering at Old Dominion University, Norfolk, Virginia for 10 years. He was the founding director of the Computational Intelligence and Machine Vision Laboratory at ODU (Vision Lab). Dr. Asari worked at National University of Singapore during 1996-98 and led a research team for the development of a vision-guided micro-robotic endoscopy system. He also worked at Nanyang Technological University, Singapore during 1998-2000 and led the computer vision and image processing related research activities in the Center for High Performance Embedded Systems at NTU. Dr. Asari holds three patents and has published more than 550 research papers, including an edited book in wide area surveillance and 89 peer-reviewed journal papers in the areas of image processing, pattern recognition, machine learning and high performance embedded systems. Dr Asari has supervised 23 PhD dissertations and 37 MS theses, and currently several graduate students are working with him in different sponsored research projects. He is actively participating in several federal and private funded research projects and he has so far managed around $16M research funding. Dr. Asari received several teaching, research, advising and technical leadership awards. Dr. Asari has been a Senior Member of the IEEE since 2001 and is a Senior Member of the Society of Photo-Optical Instrumentation Engineers (SPIE). He is a member of the IEEE Computational Intelligence Society (CIS), IEEE CIS Intelligent Systems Applications Technical Committee, IEEE Systems, Man and Cybernetics Society (SMC) Technical Committee of Human Perception in Vision, Graphics and Multimedia, IEEE Internet of Things (IoT) Community, Society for Imaging Science and Technology (IS&T), IS&T Data Analytics and Marketing Task Force, Institute for Systems and Technologies of Information, Control and Communication (INSTICC), and American Society for Engineering Education (ASEE). He is the co- organizer of several SPIE and IEEE conferences and workshops.

Dr. B. K. Murthy is currently working as Senior Director (Scientist G) and Group Coordinator, R & D, Information Technology in the Ministry of Electronics and IT (MeitY), Government of India. He was awarded Ph.D. degree by IIT Delhi. He is instrumental in the initiation of e-learning activities and contributed for the incorporation of Media Lab Asia. He also served as Executive Director, NIELIT. He was a member of Technical Committee and Project Approval Board of National Mission on Education through ICT (NMEICT), MHRD; He is currently member of Board of Governs Indira Gandhi Technological University for Women, Delhi. Dr. Murthy research interests include Artificial Intelligence, Natural Language Processing, Knowledge Engineering, Object Oriented Design and Software Defined Networking. He had initiated projects with a total outlay of approximately Rs. 150 Crores in the areas of Health Informatics, E-governance, Smart Cards, Language Technology and e-learning. About 30 awards have been received Interalia Manthan Award 2012, Rajasthan State e-governance award 2012; Skoch Order of Merit (2013); CSI Nihilent e-Governance in 2013; Indian Merchants Chamber Award 2013; e-north East Award for 2015.

Nitendra is Senior Vice President Analytics and Data Science, Info Edge (India) Limited, India. Nitendra defines and leads the MobileFirst agenda for IBM Research in India. His team invests in developing research technologies that can add value and help differentiate the IBM Mobile portfolio, be it a product, a service or an industry specific solution. In 2016, he has been focussing on adding research and innovation in the context of the Apple-IBM partnership and on enhancing the mobile HCI platforms. From a industry perspective, he works on applying mobile technologies to travel and transportation, education, retail and financial industries. His personal interest is to build novel interaction systems, mostly focusing on the mobile platform. Based on such work, he has delivered several tutorials and conducted workshops in the mobile and speech areas at top ACM venues internationally (MobileHCI, IUI, CSCW, CHI). Nitendra is an ACM Distinguished Scientist and an IEEE Senior Member. He is also an IBM Master Inventor has many patents to his name.

L V (Venkat) Subramaniam is STSM & Senior Manager - Knowledge Engineering and Data Platforms, India Research Laboratory, New Delhi, India. He received the B.E. degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering from Mysore University, the M.S. degree in Electrical Engineering from Washington University, St. Louis, USA, and the Ph. D. degree in Electronics from the Indian Institute of Technology, New Delhi, India. The Knowledge Engineering and Data Platforms theme of his work has been the search for informative patterns in signals that include text, speech, image and others enhanced for different communication channels. He joined IBM Research India in 1998, where he currently leads a team of world class researchers developing the next generation Data and Knowledge Engineering technologies. He is a member of the IBM Academy of Technology and an IBM Master Inventor.He has firsthand experience in implementing knowledge solutions for telecom, finance, retail, pharma, government and entertainment sectors. He also has deep involvement in academics. He is on the Senate of IIIT Delhi since 2013.He has been on PhD thesis committees in IIT Delhi, India, Univ of Maryland, Baltimore County, USA and IIIT Delhi, India.  He has awarded by IBM Outstanding Technical Achievement Award 2015(Market Impact of Social and Customer Analytics), IBM Outstanding Technical Achievement Award 2015(Data Fusion and Analytics), IBM Outstanding Technical Achievement Award 2011 Cleansing as a Transient Service (Data Quality Assessment and Management), IBM Outstanding Technical Achievement Award 2012(Noisy Text Analytics). He served as member of Editorial Board, International Journal on Document Analysis and Recognition (IJDAR) 

B. Chandra is currently an Adjunct Professor at the School of Information Technology at the Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi. She served the computer Science Group in the Department of Maths, Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi from 1979 to June 2016. During her tenure she has been the Head of the Department for three years and chairperson of the Departmental research committee for five years. Her specialization is in the area of Machine Learning, Deep Learning, Data Mining, Neural Networks for classification and NLP, Feature Selection. Databases. She has been teaching and highly involved in research in these areas and guided a number of PhD students. She is a senior member of IEEE Computer society. She has been a Chief Data Scientist at Sprinklr Solutions and was a consultant for Machine Learning. She was instrumental in starting the highly prestigious five year M.Tech program on Maths and Computing through JEE. She was invited to give a two hour tutorial on Fast Learning in Deep Multi Layer Perceptron at the IJCNN conference held at Alaska, USA. She has been invited again by the organizers of IEEE SSCI 2017 to present at wo hour tour Tutorial on Deep Learning techniques at Hawaii. In July 2015, she was invited to give a two-hour tutorial on Feature selection for the participants of International joint conference on Neural Networks held at Ireland. During summer 2012, she was a visiting scientist at NIST, Gaithersburg, Maryland for two months. During 2008-2010, she was a visiting Professor at IIT Kanpur. She was a Visiting Professor for a year with the Graduate School of Business, University of Pittsburgh, Pittsburgh, USA and for a year at Penn State University, University Park, USA. She has also been a Visiting Scientist with INRIA, France. She has published more than 100 research papers in reputed International journals in the area of Deep Learning, Machine Learning, Data Mining, Neural Networks, Feature Selection and Bio informatics Delivered lectures at various universities in the U.S., viz. University of Pittsburgh, Penn State University, Eastern Illinois University, University of Hawaii, University of Texas at Dallas, University of Orleans, Virginia Tech and at the National University of Singapore, Bangor University, U.K. and Ecole de Mines Paris. Invited to be the Chairman in sessions on Machine Learning, Data Mining and Neural Networks at various international conferences held at USA., U.K., Canada, Singapore etc. She has been the Principal Investigator of many sponsored research projects funded by Defence, MIT ,DBT and Department of science and Technology in the area of Machine learning and also been a chief consultant for consultancy research projects with stock market companies and Social Media companies in the field of clustering, classification and feature selection.

Mohamed Alatroush is Founder & Chief Executive Officer, Remotera, Cairo, Egypt. He received the M. S. degree in Software Engineering from University of Liverpool, UK, the B.S. degree in Computer Science from the Cairo University, Cairo, Egypt. He was Software Team Leader at NTG Clarity, Egypt for three years. He developed micro-service based strategic and portfolio management product at NTG Clarity. He was Senior Liferay Developer & Agile Tracker at Al-Elm Information Security Company, Saudi Arabia. He worked as IBM FileNet Developer and Designer at DataServe,Saudi Arabia. His role was to manage customer business requirements, design, develop ECM Portals, the core technologies used was IBM FileNet ECM, IBM BPM, WebShpere, Oracle 11g, IReport, using latest J2EE Technologies like Java, JSF, Ajax, PLSQL.

Dr. Gurjit Singh Walia is working as Scientist ‘E’ at Defence Research and Development Organization, India. His research interest includes information security, visual tracking, machine learning and pattern recognition. He has published over 20 research papers in International Journal /Conference. He is Fellow of IETE, Fellow of Institute of Engineering, Senior Member of IEEE, Member of CSI and CRSI.
